Summer came
into the room
of the world
carelessly scattering
her things
everywhere
&
everywhere
you looked
her laughter
looking back
at you.
Blossoms bloomed brazenly
hungry as kisses.
Sunlight touched
itself
with a little shiver
of excitement.
The sun grew hot
& sweaty.
She frowned upon
my frown.
Nonchalantly she lit
another cigarette
holding the still
burning match
to my perfect frown.
She watched
with a casual violence
as it burst into the flames
of a surprised smile.
Summer kissed me
on the lips
never one
for taking no
...for an answer.
