A unconscious lad lay upon a bed.
The comfort of dreams, taking away all the dread.
His mind manifesting wondrous things,
Never wanting to wake for he had everything.
He holds her close behind shut eyes,
But it all ends the minute he opens his eyes it all dies.
For this is only true,
When dreams and reality collide.

A conscious lad sits next to that beautiful girl,
She lacks the knowledge that she could crush his world.
He sits patiently as a friend even though he wants to bend,
Wishing to hold her close and love her to the very end.
Although he respects her wishes and is only a friend.
Even though he knows without a doubt she could mend.
He yearns to entangle their fingers together,
For it would make him float like a feather.

For in his eyes she would always be the prize,
If only she would take the gamble and roll the dice.
It’s odd in his mind she doesn’t simply spin,
It’s his heart she managed to win.
She twirls, and she always puts his head in a whirl.
He wishes he could just allow all his emotions to unfurl.
For he is not one that has come upon only for lust,
He aches for their lips to meet before he busts.
He could imagine a story that brings shame upon a fairytale,
Being alone sitting with the thought she may not be his is hell.
Until they day he decided to break the shell.

A unconscious lad lay upon a bed.
The comfort of dreams, taking away all the dread.
His mind manifesting wondrous things,
Never wanting to wake for he had everything.
He holds her close behind shut eyes,
But it all it didn’t end when he opened his eyes,
A confused smile on his face and then he realized,
That dreams and reality had collide.
