As I fumble from my bed
The words still ringing in my head
From the words that you had said
From yesterday
I find my shoes, I put them on
I watch the news, but not for long
Then I step outside
To face the day
I never knew how lonesome
To have to face a day could be
I never knew so lonely
I never knew would be of me
Then I walk out and I check the mail
For something to do I thought to my self
And the words you said yesterday
They ring on
I’ll wake up and you’ll be gone
Then I’ll know the meaning of all alone
But I guess you already knew
You were right all along
And if I could right now
I’d change the way things are somehow
But it’s to late
The words that we say
So alone
I walk today
I guess somehow
I’ll have to face the day
I never knew how lonesome
To have to face a day could be
I never knew so lonely
I never knew would be of me.
