Nefarious pair!
Everyone innocently unaware.
Warranted closer examination?

Declaring deceptively for a compassionate nation.
Actually brought deceit, ruin and unnecessary war.
Rest of the world for them came to abhor.
Killing and torture in the name of peace reigned.

Almost all of the treasury was mysteriously drained.
Gone after years of concern -
Electorate failed to learn -
Surely another sinister two and their evil ways would seek to return?
