Mr. Ben Franklin, Man of the City,
is it Love? Is it really, when Lightning
strikes the Key? Should I Experiment with
Knees? And this Part between my Lips, should I
Lick? or Squeeze? If she says, why not? Should we...?

All Year I’ve marked my Failings in a Book-
I wrote them down, I checked them off-and still
some Things are better Unrecollect’d,
like Addages or Taxes. I read you
once-it took awhile then-It was Youth,

I didn’t Mend, which is how Things End,
at least for Me, at least when Touch
gets to the Stop, and it’s Time to leave, and
I’ve lost my Keys, and she says, “I can
drive you only Half-way Home because I’m Tired,

because I own a Car.” That One was Sweet,
at least at First, and some Nights I’d sing
a little Verse while walking with Abandon.
I called my Song, the Orgasm-and, Brother, I sang it
loud. Can you explain why the Police came

around? What confuses Me is Frugality-
if I’m Virtuous can I bear it? Will I ever
get to Paris? I saw you once. In Philly!
You pointed at Me, so I pointed back.
My old Love said, Hey, Love, Who’s that?

I said, That’s History. It was Rude of Me, I agree.
So I ask your Advice about Doing It Right,
when pressed against Night, we feel our Hour
and the Waters turn Electric... Ben, I’m no Skeptick-
in Love, as it goes, I’m strictly Philosophical.
