Almost everybody knows Marilyn Monroe
They did not see the Norma Jean
behind the silver screen
A child to grow onto the Streets of Hollywood
To claim her fame of a beauty queen

With a glimmering glimpse
A glammeries glance
A wiggle when she walked
A sparkle when she smiled

She dyed her hair
She changed her name

To play the game of a beauty queen.
So sad to say, how short her life had been,
Nothing left but an image on the silver screen.
She was Norma Jean Mortensen.

To us you and I there was
A twinkle in her eye.
