In an attempt to change
from lunar to
calendar

Autumn
occurs twice

in 1691
Japan.

Confusing for birds,
tides, humans &
the moon.

The moon lies awake
as Basho sleeps.

Basho is wide awake
as now the moon

sleeps.

Time...will never be
the same again.

Basho basho ni
(Basho on horse back)
Waka-gama...meigetsu
(Poetry Mountain...full moon)
hoshi...haigoshi.
(star...through leaves)
