They say it's nifty to be Fifty,
But what about turning Sixty?
We feel somewhat like a rose dying on the vine;
And our minds & bodies are slowly fading over time,
There's a mellowing process that happens with maturity;
And an appreciation of a life that strives for purity;
While our spirits still glowingly soar;
And with time passing quicker now...all we ask for is more;
So when you see us looking rather weak or frail,
It could be your own illusion that we might fail;
While we may have arrived a this age weatherd,
By now all our steps have been tested & measured,
Although life isn't always perfect with all joys & pleasure,
Still life even with it's pain is something we all should treasure.
