Dust settles on cracked lips, scorching fire burns the tongue
Particles up your nose, overrun with dung
Dull thuds, several shovels pierce the earth
Dog-tired boys drag shovels and canteens
Been a long day, Feel acidly blisters on fingertips,
heavy muscles and drowsy minds
