Wall to wall quiet now stalks
countryside lanes.
White feathered blankets
pile high icy mounds.
Whispers of snowglow
bring glorious ageless
Light, reflecting intensely
from hard cold ground.

Breezy peace flutters down,
soft-winged as a dove.
Housebound I watch,
as snow sits flouting demands.
Thick cover of white silence
heals noise with lovely
Though dangerous claim.
Snow brings it's own balm.
