So airy sweet the fragile song,
I deemed his visions true,
And roamed Edenic vales along,
Lit by celestial dew.
Illusive gleamed the timeless bow'rs;
The winds and streams were such
As Eve had mourned—but ah, the flow'rs!
Too delicate for touch!
