There’s an ocean between us
And borders, and miles,
And countries, and cities
And rivers, and valleys
And hills, and mountains
And plateaus, and…
And yet, still, I find
You’re never far from my mind.

There’s an ocean between us
You’re a continent away
So much separates us;
Tanzania, for instance, and Ghana-
Even the Amazon long-
And I’m so sure I’ve got
The geography wrong…
Yet, even though all this
Might keep us apart
You’re still ever so close to me-
Right here in my heart.
