Leaving others to take your place,
Even though I’m walking around with your face,
Knowing that you left us behind,
Wondering what's on father’s mind.
He didn't even think to try.
To leave my mother with tears going down her face,
Left me the only one to give her embrace,
Only for me to ask her why?
My mother can give me answers;
My father left behind.
For he can give his love to another,
But can't give his love to me,
My mother would give her life,
But he’s rather have another wife
He can take it and make a life and keep living,
But what is it like to live without a father,
He doesn't even know,
Because he doesn't even care,
He left me alone
I could be adopted
I could be dead
He wouldn’t know the difference
Even though he does he said
You have three kids but not a forth
Because I have a chance to advance north
Now is my turn to give up on you
Because your eyes and soul are totally see through
I see what you wanted
But will I ever really know
I was a feather
And would fall with one blow
But now I’m out of your trap
And can get away
I’m done with all your crap.
