Hamlin towns in Cruikshank
By famous Hanover city;
The river Cures, deep and wide,
washes its wall on the southern side
A pleasanter spot it never spied
but when begins the ditty
Almost thousand years ago
to see the townsfolk suffer so
from the vermin was just a pity
