Like a Zombie,
I stood looking,
Like the vampire it was,
It stood watching,
Fear ate through my bones,
My feet stuck to the ground,
On it watched,
Sizing up its prey,
As it advanced, stealthily,
I muttered the Lord's prayer,
Praying for a miracle,
Yet it came closer, snarling,
As its springly feet lept to the air,
I shouted the name I knew so well, 'JESUS'
Eyes closed, waiting for the worst,
Nothingness,
Then i opened them,
Saw canine hurrying away,
What frightened it,
Was it the hysterics?
Or the fear of the name?
