President Barack Obama announced that his immigration plan could be ready as soon as next week. The plan includes granting an amnesty to nearly 4.5 million people slated to be deported. These people are either parents of family members of American citizens who have resided in the United States for many years, people who were raised in the US but arrived illegally as children, and illegal parents of US born and raised minors. It is highly unlikely that any measure the president presents will be passed by either house or congress, but Obama will use executive powers to pass the measure if necessary. teleSUR
