The Revolutionary Armed Forces of Colombia (FARC) admitted on Tuesday that it was holding Colombian General Ruben Dario Alzate but said it is willing to seek a solution with the government and called for peace talks to be resumed. Rebel negotiator Pablo Catatumbo that in the absence of a cease-fire, rejected by the government, incidents were bound to occur, but that a sensible solution should be sought.
