Many people take a cruise through the Taco Bell drive-through for a late night snack or meal. A 33-year-old man recently rode through the drive-through line of his local restaurant, but was denied service because he was on a bicycle.
Gabriel Harris was reportedly intoxicated when he pedaled his bike down the fast food lane.
It was about 3 a.m. on Sunday when he rode up to the window and placed an order. At that time, restaurant workers were getting ready to close.
Taco Bell staffers refused to serve him because he wasn’t in a vehicle. Harris, however, didn’t want to take no for an answer. He wouldn't leave the drive-through and employees called police for assistance.
When cops arrived on scene, they found Harris still sitting on his bike at the loudspeaker. A woman, who was also on a bicycle, was accompanying him.
Police tried to persuade Harris to leave peacefully and soon noticed a Swiss Army knife on his belt loop. An officer attempted to grab it, but Harris latched onto the cop’s wrist.
He was wrestled to the ground and arrested. Harris is facing a charge of resisting arrest with violence. The woman he was with was not charged.
