Chinese President Xi Jinping was entertained during a luncheon on Friday as he concluded the last day of his state visit to New Zealand.
Following a traditional Maori performance of the Haka and a Chinese Lion Dance, both Xi and the New Zealand Prime Minister John Key told various mayors from around the country that the relationship between their two countries offers real opportunities for both.
Xi had announced the signing of a comprehensive strategic partnership between the two countries on Thursday, signaling an elevation of the comprehensive cooperative relationship struck in 2003.
