Pope Francis is breaking with tradition...yet again.
This time, the activist pontiff is holding a RAFFLE of 13 objects given to him as gifts.
Prizes include everything from a sports utility vehicle to a Panama hat.
Tourists at the Vatican say it's a great idea.
(SOUNDBITE) (Spanish) TOURIST FROM CUBA, MARILENA ORTEGA, SAYING:
" Not everyone has the chance to own such beautiful souvenirs from the pope so hopefully those who win will appreciate them because they are unique; they don't do raffles like this every day at the Vatican."
Tickets cost about 12 U-S dollars.
All the money from ticket sales will go towards helping the poor...a favorite cause for this first Latin American pope.
