On Black Friday, the chances of getting into an altercation over a low-priced item are a lot higher than any other day of the year. A fight broke out in a Houston-area Walmart after the likely exhausted customers learned quantities were limited on flat-screen TVs.
On Black Friday, the chances of getting into an altercation over a deal are a lot higher than any other day of the year. A fight broke out in a Houston-area Walmart after the likely exhausted customers learned quantities were limited on flat-screen TVs.
Confusion occurred when it became uncertain if a specific TV for just under $220 could be purchased. The models were said to be out of stock, so a manager offered shoppers a deal for similar TVs.
Customers brawled over them and used their bodies to hold down the boxes, preventing them from being purchased by anyone else. It got so bad, police were forced to break up the battle over the large flat-screens.
In yet another incident that occurred during this year’s Black Friday events, shoppers inside a Walmart in Michigan City, Indiana were caught on camera scuffling over a home theater system.
One man had the box in his hands, but another male tried to pull it away from him. After some tugging from both parties, the man who had it all along was able to walk away with it, however he seemed to be quite angry.
