Former French president Nicolas Sarkozy has been elected leader of the opposition Union for a Popular Movement (UMP) party, taking the first major step in his political comeback. Despie vowing to quit politics for good, the victory has raised hopes of another Sarkozy presidential bid. Al Jazeera's Paul Brennan reports from Paris.
