A British Royal Navy ship pulls into Havana, Cuba.

It's only the second such visit of a British military ship to Cuba in over 50 years.

The HMS Argyl arrived Sunday to highlight cooperation between Britain and Cuba on a range of issues, says British Ambassador to Cuba Tim Cole.

(SOUNDBITE) (English) BRITISH AMBASSADOR TIM COLE SAYING:

"When there's a disaster in the region, like a hurricane or a cyclone, our Royal Navy has a role to play in supporting countries in terms of their response. And of course, Cubans are very strong when it comes to responding to disasters as well."

Naval authorities from the two countries plan to meet and tour historic sites around Cuba.
