"The whole town was in chaos" - survivor of Boko Haram attack

On October 28, Boko Haram militants seized control of the northeast Nigerian town of Mubi, killing dozens of people and forcing thousands to flee.
Emmanuel Obaje, a university student, was one of the thousands who fled to Cameroon for safety.
He recalls that day.
(SOUNDBITE) (English) EYEWITNESS AT SCENE OF BOKO HARAM ATTACK, EMMANUEL OBAJE, SAYING:
"Around 7 to 8, in the morning, that was when the whole gunshot started in Mubi. When it all started, we thought it was just something that will come and go but it escalates beyond our imagination."
As he tried to make his way home, Mubi was awash in violence.

"I ran back to school, then the whole town was in chaos."
He fled to Cameroon, crossing rivers and mountains. He called his brother in case he never spoke to him again.
