A two-year-old boy is recovering in a Polish hospital, after he was found face down and unconscious in below freezing temperatures.

There's speculation the boy was sleepwalking when he left his grandmother's house in the early hours -- and found here, wearing only socks and a pajama top.

Waking up from a coma, doctors are optimistic he'll make a full recovery.

And his parents say they couldn't be happier with the news:

(SOUNDBITE) (Polish) ADAM'S FATHER MATEUSZ, SAYING:

"It was a great joy. I saw my son opening his eyes. It was an amazing feeling. It was like he was born again. I can't describe the feeling."

But they're anxious for the day he comes home:

(SOUNDBITE) (Polish) ADAM'S MOTHER, PAULINA, SAYING:

"Our son is the most important thing to us. We are waiting for when he will be able to return to us, when he will be laughing like he used to, hugging us so hard like he used to."
