Sudan has called for an end to the UN's peacekeeping mission in Darfur known as UNAMID. Relations have been strained between UNAMID and the Khartoum government since the mission tried to investigate allegations that Sudanese soldiers raped up to 200 women in Tabit, a village in north Darfur, in October.

Al Jazeera’s James Bays reports from the UN headquarters in New York.
