Britain's Prince William and his wife Kate posed for photos ahead of their first National Basketball Association (NBA) game on Monday (December 8) in Brooklyn, New York.

The royals were dwarfed by the 7'2 (218 centimetres) Congolese basketball star Dikembe Mutombo, who is an ambassador for United for Wildlife, a conservation group the royals have been aligned with.

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, as they have been officially known since their 2011 wedding, were on hand at the Barclays Center to see the Cleveland Cavaliers play the Brooklyn Nets.
