Meryl Streep hit the red carpet in New York City for the premiere of "Into The Woods." The triple Oscar-winning actress posed for photos and spoke to the media. Streep plays the witch in the film, which, based on the Broadway play, follows the lives of several fairy tale characters whose lives intertwine. The film opens on December 25.

Benicio del Toro was in Havana, Cuba for the 36th International Festival of New Latin American Movies. The actor is being honored at the festival for lifetime achievement and received the "Coral de Honor" award to celebrate his career. 116 films will compete at the fest, including five full-length Cuban films.

Britain's Prince William and his wife Kate continued their whirlwind tour of New York City. On Monday (December 08) evening, the royal couple attended their first NBA game and had a meet and greet with American music royalty, Beyonce and Jay Z. The couple shook hands and chatted before the game began.
