In a relatively short matter of time, a giant panda cub named Bao Bao at the Smithsonian National Zoological Park commonly known as the National Zoo has melted hearts across the world. The cub recently got to enjoy snow for the first time and the adorable scene was recorded by zoo employees.
The sixteen month-old giant panda seemed to love it. She grabbed handfuls of snow before she tumbled and rolled through it in her outdoor enclosure.
Bao Bao even buried her head in it before tossing her body around some more. While exploring the snow, Bao Bao met up with her mother and made sure to include her in the fun.
The two rolled around together and Bao Bao pounced on her mom, who seemed to be slightly less enthusiastic about the snow than her baby.
Bao Bao was born in late August of 2013. Zoo officials and panda fans from all over were quite excited about her birth and in past year, Bao Bao has lived up to all the hype and brought smiles to many faces.
Her first tumble in the snow is evidence of that.
