Nestora Salgado is a commander of a community police unit in the Mexican state of Guerrero who is currently in prison after being accused of kidnapping. However, a federal judge ruled that there was not enough evidence to prove such allegations and that she had to be released. For this to occur, the Guerrero state government must withdraw its charges. Social organizations are demanding that the governor do so as soon as possible because, in the meantime, Salgado is being subject to a smear campaign. teleSUR
