Court documents recently came to light that reveal a man allegedly left his 9-year-old nephews home alone for months. The parents of the unsupervised twin boys went to Nigeria in July and took three of their other kids with them.

Court documents recently came to light that reveal a man allegedly left his 9-year-old nephews home alone for months. The parents of the unsupervised twin boys went to Nigeria in July and took three of their other kids with them.

The children's uncle, Giobari Atura, told the parents he would watch the twins while the rest of the family was away. The boys' mother and father believed they were being cared for by Atura, however there was very little food in the house, expect for noodles.

In November, the twins' school contacted the state Division of Children, Youth and Families after their care was called into question. The children were removed from the home and later placed into foster care.
