The Ash-Throated Flycatcher (Myiarchus cinerascens) is a fairly common medium-sized friendly little bird of the southwestern deserts in the United States - usually the only flycatcher with a rusty tail. They are so curious they will follow you from tree to tree as you hike down a trail. Very talkative too. This one stopped at one of my ground level birdbaths on a scorching summer day for a drink of water and some shade under a creosote bush.
