The north-eastern Nigerian town of Malamfatori is bombed and Boko Haram militants reportedly forced out. Some confusion remains, though, over Chad’s involvement. Also, the Congolese army decides to go it alone in launching a military offensive against Rwanda Hutu rebels from the FDLR movement who have failed to heed deadlines to voluntarily disarm.
