Ahmedabad : India has became the third largest passport issuing country after China and the US. Ahmedabad has became the fourth district in India to issue maximum passports. According to passport authorities, the city has registered a huge increase in passport applications in the past two years. According to government officials, the increase in passports issued can be attributed to the growing economic strength of Gujarat and people's desire to travel abroad.
