Soba ni ite started as a genuine confession.

I knew since I was 12 years old that one day I would write a song in Japanese. A language, a culture that's engraved within the depths of my soul. Where as it is initially perceived as a love song; "Soba ni its" is far more than that.

Scenario: Think of yourself; standing in the cold, the rain is pouring but it seems to be running through you. There's a roar inside your chest, an nestling battle and it all concentrated to your tilted head and that piercing gaze you are giving your phone.
You finally make the call and it starts ringing.
While those endless-slow- and agonizing "beeps" go by, the amount of thoughts going through your mind re endless. "Is she going to pick up? What should I say? This is stupid... I should hung up..."

Yet you stay.

This thoughts, Those seconds, They are all represented as one being and that is the song.
