Malawi is continuing to suffer after a corruption scandal wiped millions from the public purse.

Authorities have struggled to fund schools and healthcare services after the "Cashgate" corruption scandal dented the budget by 40%.

More than $30 million is belived to have been siphoned by corrupt officials over a period of two years.
