A major bridge in the Polish capital Warsaw went up in flames on Saturday evening after a number of wooden boards stored under the bridge`s construction caught fire. The fire has engulfed some 500 square metres of the Lazienkowski bridge, with fears that there may be considerable damage to the construction.

It has not been reported whether the fire is intentional or the result of an accident.
