US approves net neutrality regulations

The United States Federal Communications Commission (FCC) approved a net neutrality policy that prohibits Internet Service Providers (ISPs) from establishing paid fast lanes, site and app blocking, and speed throttling. While millions of net activists regard the ruling as a victory, large ISPs see it as a defeat that prevents them from increasing their revenues. They will seek to revoke the ruling through their allies in the US Congress. teleSUR
