Lima residents oppose elimination of murales

The new Mayor of Lima, Peru, has ordered the elimination of murales from the Historic Center, a move opposed by young graffiti artists who organized international events to create them. The measure is also highly controversial among citizens who cite the mayor's political motives for erasing works of art with themes include Lima's indigenous history and resistance against genocide.
