Ecuador boosts tariffs to protect domestic industry

The Ecuadoran government has increased tariffs by 5% to 45% on some 2,800 imported goods. The aim is to protect the national economy against the rising value of the dollar and the country's industry against cheap imports. A third of the country's imports will be affected by the tariff hike. Liz Scherffius reports from Quito.
