Reportedly, Hyundai launched the most desired i20 Active crossover for a starting price of Rs 6.38 lakh. Two variants in petrol and three in diesel are available on the sale floor. On paper, rivals like Fiat Avventura and Etios Cross shall better look for themselves. Compared to the standard variant called Elite, the i20 Active is boasted of raised ground clearance, skid plates, roof rails, revamped front grille and bumpers. Other remarkable amendments also include, rounded fog lamps, plastic cladding at the bottom and reworked fuel cap. Ironically, the cabin doesn’t propel any significant newness. Above all, the drivetrain too has not improved a bit.
Hence, we see this car as a good option for the Indian roads, but a spare-wheel at rear is always adored by the audience. Wished, the Active could have got a one!
