Mr. Adnan Oktar’s comment on the Economist’s report on the PKK

- The British Economist magazine has been suggesting that the PKK has changed and that independence for the Kurds is closer than it has ever been. The report cited these words from Cemil Bayık; “The new PKK is quite different from the old PKK.

He dismisses its doctrinaire Marxist-Leninist past, and now says, “We reject class dictatorship and we reject dictatorship of the party.’ Mr Bayik says that the PKK now strenuously denies it wants a separate state in south-eastern Turkey, and he adds:  “All we want is to live freely with our own identity, culture and values in democratic conditions. Self-determination should not be interpreted as meaning an independent state.”
