Colombia: Corruption scandal shakes judicial system

Colombian President Juan Manuel Santos will meet with the judges of the Constitutional Court to seek a solution to the corruption scandal engulfing the country's top tribunal. The former head of the court, Jorge Pretelt, who recently resigned his post, is accused of having asked for a US$200,000 bribe from an oil company to secure nullification of a US$9 million fine. Almost all the court's judges have had their reputation questioned followed a series of corruption and conflict of interest scandals. teleSUR
