A Japanese H-IIA rocket successfully launched early this morning at 01:21 UTC, March 26th 2015 carrying the IGS Optical-5 payload into orbit from the Tanegashima Space Centre.
This was the 28th launch of a H-IIA rocket since the inaugural flight in 2001. IGS Optical 5 is the first satellite as part of Japan's third generation fleet which will take high resolution Earth imagery.
