Rayma Suprani, an award-winning Venezuelan political cartoonist, challenged the government through her satirical illustrations for nearly 20 years at the newspaper El Universal. In 2014, she drew a cartoon mocking Hugo Chavez’s signature and claims she was fired as a result. Despite the harassment Suprani says she’s faced, she refuses to give up drawing, especially in a post-Charlie Hebdo world.
