With a voter turnout close to a whopping 90%, in yesterday's local and regional elections in Bolivia, the Movement to Socialism (MAS), President Evo Morales' party, was in first place, winning six of the country's nine departments. The MAS won in key states such as Cochabamba and Potosi but lost the department of La Paz and the city of El Alto. In races where no candidate received a 50% majority, run off elections will be held on May 3. teleSUR
