In the United States, construction unions joined fast food workers in a march on a New York City McDonald's restaurant, briefly shutting it down. Along with airport staff, home healthcare workers and adjutant professors, they called for a living wage of US$15 an hour and union rights. The protest was one of several leading up to a national day of action on April 15, when over 100,000 working people in 200 cities will demand higher wages and the right to unionize. teleSUR
