A French free-climber has completed his latest daredevil stunt by scaling one of Dubai’s tallest skyscrapers, the Emirates Cayan Tower, in the heart of the city-state’s luxurious marina district.

Alain Robert, 52, dubbed the real-life ‘Spiderman’, has made a career for himself setting astonishing world records.

Robert completed the 1,007-foot climb in just 70 minutes on Sunday, according to the Associated Press.

Monsieur Spiderman used no safety harness, just tape and chalk, and had little leg room as he made his way up the twisting structure.

Robert is no stranger to scaling tall buildings. Sunday’s ascent was his 85th building climb in just 14 years.

In 2011, he climbed the nearby Burj Khalifa, the world’s tallest tower, this time using a rope and harness in order to comply with requirements set out by an organizer. It took him just over six hours to scale the 2,717-foot-tall building, according to a New York Post report.

Despite claiming to suffer from vertigo, Robert says his obsession with climbing has left him partially disabled, the Daily Mail reports.

Robert says he believes that pushing limits and constantly aiming higher is how we can all develop stronger mindsets.
