A recent research study at Ohio State University has suggested that the constant posting photo of selfies on social media may be a sign of psychopathic tendencies in men.

The study quizzed 800 men between the ages of 18 and 40 about their social media habits, in particular their photo posting habits.

The amount of selfies posted had a positive correlation with narcissism — surprise, surprise — and psychopathy. The study found that men who immediately put their selfies online tended to show impulsiveness and be psychopaths.

Those individuals who took the time to edit their images using Photoshop or various other filters tended to show image-anxiety.

And the more time an individual spent on social media the more narcissistic they tended to be.

So it seems no matter what you do, you’re damned if you do and damned if you don’t.

At least according to this study.
