I wonder if she knows much about silent film? You know, the silent period lasted from 1895 until 1929, when sound was finally introduced to films. Initially theater audiences were mostly full of illiterate immigrants because silent films told stories without words so there were no language barriers.

One famous silent film star everyone still knows today was Charlie Chaplin. Chaplin is also the first international film star.
